Oxygen as a Training Stimulus for Your Cells

IHHT makes a natural altitude stimulus controllable and individually dosable. While you breathe calmly through a breathing mask, oxygen-reduced and oxygen-enriched phases alternate, providing a targeted training stimulus for cellular adaptation, regeneration and physical performance.

Benefits

Your Benefits

More Available Energy+
IHHT engages processes linked to mitochondrial energy production and oxygen utilization, an important foundation for stable energy and everyday readiness to perform.
Trained Oxygen Adaptation+
The controlled alternation of oxygen availability challenges the body's natural adaptation mechanisms and trains a flexible response to changing conditions.
More Endurance and Resilience+
IHHT can support oxygen uptake, exertion tolerance and physical performance, particularly interesting for active people.
Targeted Regeneration+
The passive application combines a measured training stimulus with conscious recovery phases and supports regeneration after intense exertion.
Prevention + Long-Term Preservation of Physical Resources+
Cellular energy and adaptability are key prerequisites for performance across many years of life. IHHT integrates this dimension into a modern longevity approach.

A natural adaptation stimulus, put to targeted use.

The Experience

Calm, Relaxed and Undemanding

You lie relaxed or reclined and breathe calmly through a breathing mask. Oxygen-reduced and oxygen-enriched phases alternate automatically. The application is individually controlled and supervised throughout the entire session. You can fully relax and use the time as a conscious phase of rest.

Technology

Oxygen as a Training Stimulus for the Cells

As we age, the ability to preserve energy, resilience and regenerative capacity over the long term becomes increasingly important. Oxygen plays a decisive role here. Our cells need it to generate energy. At the same time, the body has highly developed mechanisms that detect changes in oxygen availability and align its metabolic and adaptation processes accordingly. IHHT uses exactly this natural adaptability as a training stimulus. Oxygen-reduced phases create a controlled altitude stimulus, while oxygen-enriched phases support recovery between the exertion intervals.

How It Works

Mitochondria and Cellular Oxygen Sensing

The mitochondria are of particular focus here. They use oxygen and nutrients to generate energy and respond sensitively to changes in oxygen availability. What matters is not oxygen deprivation itself, but the controlled alternation of oxygen availability and the body's adaptive response to it. How cells perceive changes in oxygen availability and adapt to them is one of the fundamental regulatory mechanisms of our organism. The discoveries on cellular oxygen sensing were awarded the 2019 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. At CRYODYNAMIC, we use IHHT with individual dosing, controlled and personally supervised.

Who It’s For

Especially Interesting if You

  • often feel tired or exhausted and miss your usual energy
  • notice that your energy clearly drops over the course of a long day
  • need longer to recover after intense work phases, travel, physical exertion or short nights
  • want to specifically develop your endurance, oxygen adaptation and physical resilience
  • are under heavy professional or personal demands and want to consciously support your physical resources
  • want to support focus and readiness to perform even in demanding phases of life
  • want to specifically support your regeneration after intense periods of exertion
  • want to invest early in your performance and preserve your physical resources for the long term
  • want to use IHHT as part of a prevention-focused longevity routine

CRYODYNAMIC

IHHT at CRYODYNAMIC

Individually adjusted. Personally supervised. At CRYODYNAMIC, IHHT is tailored to your starting point, resilience and personal goals. Oxygen phases, intensity and duration are individually adjusted and supervised during the application. At CRYODYNAMIC, IHHT can be used independently as a single application or as a structured series. It can also be part of a personal longevity program. Within our programs, its use is guided by your starting point, your goals and, where available, the results of your diagnostics. Which applications are appropriate and in which order they are used is individually tailored to your starting point and your goal. Can be combined, for example, with:

Personally Supervised

Before your first application, we explain the entire process to you. Our team is also personally on hand for further sessions.

Individually Dosed

The oxygen-reduced and oxygen-enriched phases are adjusted according to your personal response and resilience.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What does an IHHT session look like?+
You lie relaxed or reclined and breathe calmly through a breathing mask. Oxygen-reduced and oxygen-enriched phases alternate automatically. The application is individually controlled and supervised throughout the entire session. You can fully relax and use the time as a conscious phase of rest.
How long does an IHHT application take?+
Depending on the individually selected protocol, an IHHT session takes approx. 20–60 minutes.
What does IHHT feel like?+
The application is calm and passive. Many people find the session pleasant and relaxing. Some fall asleep during the application.
Is IHHT comparable to a stay in the mountains?+
At normal ambient pressure, IHHT simulates a controlled altitude stimulus. To do this, the oxygen content of the breathing air is reduced for short, individually controlled intervals. Depending on the setting, the oxygen-reduced phase can correspond to a simulated altitude of several thousand meters. This is followed by an oxygen-enriched recovery phase.
Why do oxygen-reduced and oxygen-enriched phases alternate?+
The alternation itself forms the actual training stimulus. The oxygen-reduced phase challenges the body's adaptation mechanisms. The oxygen-enriched phase supports the subsequent recovery and prepares the body for the next interval stimulus.
How many applications make sense?+
A single session is a good way to get to know IHHT and serves as an initial, targeted oxygen stimulus. For more advanced goals, IHHT is often used as an individually tailored series. The number and intervals of sessions are based on your starting point, your goal and your response to the application.
Are my readings monitored during the session?+
Yes. The session is supervised and individually controlled. Relevant readings are monitored and the protocol is adjusted according to your personal response.
Is the application individually adjusted?+
Yes. Oxygen phases, intensity and duration are individually adjusted and supervised during the application.
When is a medical assessment advisable?+
Before your first session, we take your current health situation into account. In the case of acute symptoms, persistent or unexplained exhaustion, pregnancy, or relevant cardiovascular or respiratory conditions, a medical assessment is carried out beforehand.
