Hyperbaric oxygen in a new dimension of comfort

Under increased ambient pressure, the availability of oxygen in the body changes. In our Hyperbaric Oxygen Lounge, you breathe highly concentrated oxygen through a separate breathing system while the pressure in the lounge is built up in a controlled manner. This allows significantly more oxygen to dissolve physically in the blood plasma and reach the tissue via the circulatory system. The LUXO₂S combines this principle with exceptional spatial comfort, tranquility and a high-quality lounge atmosphere, for a hyperbaric oxygen application at a premium level.

The Experience

The LUXO₂S Hyperbaric Oxygen Lounge

Hyperbaric oxygen systems differ not only in the pressure they can reach. What matters is the interplay of controlled pressure management, oxygen supply, breathing system, safety, technical quality and comfort during a longer session. In the LUXO₂S, you breathe highly concentrated oxygen through a separate breathing system while the lounge is pressurized in a controlled manner using ambient air and then depressurized again in a controlled manner after the application. We accompany you through the necessary pressure equalization. An HBOT session takes considerably longer than many other longevity applications, which is why the LUXO₂S was designed for an especially calm stay. Automatically adjustable seats can be brought into a comfortable reclining position and feature integrated massage functions. During the 60 to 90 minutes, you can relax, sleep, read, listen to music or an audiobook, or watch a film. In this way, the LUXO₂S combines precise pressure management and targeted oxygen supply with an environment in which even longer and repeated sessions remain enjoyable.

Technology

Why pressure makes the difference

Oxygen is essential for the aerobic energy production of our cells. The mitochondria in particular use oxygen to produce ATP, the energy that cells need for their daily functions and for adaptation and regeneration processes. Repeated, controlled hyperbaric oxygen exposures are being scientifically studied in connection with, among other things, tissue regeneration, new blood vessel formation, mitochondrial processes, inflammation regulation and neurobiological adaptation processes.

How It Works

How hyperbaric oxygen works

What matters is not simply more oxygen, but the combination of increased ambient pressure and high oxygen availability.

Oxygen Transport

Under normal conditions, oxygen is transported through the body predominantly bound to hemoglobin in the red blood cells.

Increased Oxygen Partial Pressure

Under hyperbaric conditions, this principle changes: the increased ambient pressure raises the oxygen partial pressure, allowing significantly more oxygen to dissolve directly in the blood plasma.

Supply Reaching the Tissue

The oxygen-rich plasma is transported via the circulatory system all the way to the microcirculation and the tissue. It is precisely this physical mechanism that fundamentally distinguishes hyperbaric oxygen from an oxygen application at normal ambient pressure.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is hyperbaric oxygen therapy?+
During a hyperbaric oxygen application, you breathe highly concentrated oxygen under increased ambient pressure. This raises the oxygen partial pressure, allowing significantly more oxygen to dissolve directly in the blood plasma.
What is the difference to normal oxygen?+
At normal ambient pressure, the oxygen transport capacity of hemoglobin is already largely exhausted. The increased ambient pressure allows significantly more additional oxygen to be physically dissolved in the blood plasma.
How long does a session take?+
Depending on the goal, an application at CRYODYNAMIC takes about 60 to 90 minutes. In addition, there are the controlled phases for pressurization and depressurization.
What does the pressure feel like?+
As the ambient pressure builds up, you may notice a sensation similar to takeoff or landing in an airplane. The pressure is equalized through the ears by swallowing, yawning or other techniques. We accompany you through this.
Do I have to wear a mask the entire time?+
The highly concentrated oxygen is supplied through a separate breathing system. Depending on the chosen protocol and breathing system, the oxygen supply can be designed differently.
Can I sleep or work during the application?+
The LUXO₂S lounge is designed for a calm and comfortable stay. You can use the time to sleep, relax, read or for entertainment. Depending on the breathing system, conversations or brief work tasks are also possible. For regenerative use, we recommend using the session as consciously as possible as recovery time.
Can HBOT support sleep?+
HBOT is increasingly being studied scientifically in connection with sleep and regeneration. Studies in various groups describe improvements in sleep quality. In certain clinical studies, improvements in sleep efficiency, deep sleep and REM sleep were also observed. How strongly these effects appear individually depends on your starting point, sleep situation and the protocol used.
Can HBOT be used after surgery?+
In medicine, hyperbaric oxygen therapy is used for selected wound and tissue problems as well as, complementarily, in certain postoperative situations. The increased oxygen availability can support the conditions needed for repair and healing processes in the tissue. A postoperative application should always be appropriate to the specific surgery, the healing progress and the medical care provided.
Is HBOT also used for Long COVID?+
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is increasingly being studied scientifically in connection with Long COVID. The focus is on, among other things, fatigue, brain fog, attention, memory, cognitive performance, sleep and physical resilience. Clinical studies and systematic reviews show interesting and, in some cases, positive results in this regard. Because protocols, number of applications and the patient groups studied vary, an application for persistent or complex symptoms should be assessed individually and, if necessary, coordinated medically.
Why are multiple applications of interest?+
Many of the scientifically studied biological adaptations to HBOT are based on repeated applications. The appropriate number and frequency depend on your personal starting point, goal and the protocol chosen.
Is HBOT suitable for everyone?+
Before the first application, we clarify the relevant health prerequisites and possible contraindications. In the case of acute respiratory or sinus infections, difficulties with pressure equalization, as well as certain pre-existing heart, lung or other conditions, prior individual clarification is required. An untreated pneumothorax excludes a hyperbaric oxygen application.
What makes our Hyperbaric Oxygen Lounge special?+
The LUXO₂S combines highly advanced pressure and oxygen technology with exceptional comfort. Particularly quiet operation, controlled pressure management, high-quality breathing systems, automatically adjustable seats with reclining and massage functions, and the generous lounge atmosphere make even longer and repeated sessions enjoyable. At CRYODYNAMIC, the application is personally accompanied and applied according to your specific goal.
