CO₂ supports oxygen supply in the tissue

The CO₂ dry bath is a warm, dry and deeply relaxing treatment. Carbon dioxide is guided in a controlled way around the body inside a special treatment sleeve, delivering a targeted impulse for microcirculation, oxygen release in the tissue and regeneration.

Benefits

Your Benefits

Support microcirculation+
The CO₂ impulse promotes blood flow to the skin and to peripheral areas of the body.
Oxygen release in the tissue+
CO₂ can promote the release of oxygen from hemoglobin into the tissue.
Improve tissue supply+
Active microcirculation supports the transport of oxygen and nutrients.
Targeted regeneration+
The calm treatment supports the body's natural recovery and regeneration processes.
Support for relaxation and regulation+
The warm, passive treatment creates a deep resting phase and supports the transition from exertion to regeneration.

A warm impulse with a targeted effect on microcirculation.

The Experience

Warm and deeply relaxing

You lie relaxed in a special treatment sleeve that closes around your body. Warmed CO₂ is guided into the sleeve in a controlled way and circulated around your body. Your body stays completely dry, and the treatment is calm, passive and comfortable. Many guests notice a pleasant sensation of warmth and a slight tingling on the skin.

Technology

Why CO₂ makes it easier to release oxygen into the tissue

For cellular energy supply, what matters is not only how much oxygen the body takes in, but also how efficiently it becomes available in the tissue. CO₂ can support the response of the fine blood vessels and thereby promote microcirculation. Through the so-called Bohr effect, a locally elevated CO₂ level changes the oxygen binding of hemoglobin in a pH-dependent way. As a result, oxygen can be released more easily into the tissue. In this way, the CO₂ dry bath connects microcirculation, oxygen release in the tissue and regeneration.

How It Works

How does the CO₂ dry bath work?

Carbon dioxide is absorbed through the skin in a controlled way and triggers targeted physiological responses.

Vasodilating effect

CO₂ promotes the response of the fine blood vessels and can thereby support local blood flow and microcirculation of the skin.

The Bohr effect

A locally elevated CO₂ level influences the pH value in the tissue, which facilitates the release of oxygen from hemoglobin, so more oxygen can reach where it is needed.

Heat as an amplifier

The warm, dry treatment additionally supports blood flow and creates a relaxed starting point for the effect of the CO₂ impulse.

Who It’s For

Who is the CO₂ dry bath suitable for?

For people who are looking for a warm, passive treatment and want to support their regeneration. The CO₂ dry bath is a good fit if you:

  • Want to specifically boost your microcirculation and blood flow
  • Experience heavy or tired legs
  • Want to support your recovery after sport, travel or intense periods
  • Want to support your oxygen and tissue supply
  • Want to give your body a conscious phase of rest and regulation

    Questions

    Frequently Asked Questions

How does a CO₂ session work?+
You lie relaxed in a special treatment sleeve. Warmed CO₂ is guided into the sleeve in a controlled way and circulated around your body. Your body stays dry, and the treatment is calm, passive and comfortable.
How long does the treatment take?+
Depending on the chosen protocol, a session lasts approximately 45 to 60 minutes.
What does the CO₂ dry bath feel like?+
The treatment is experienced as warm, calm and deeply relaxing. It gives the body a conscious resting phase and supports the shift from exertion to regeneration.
    What does CAT® stand for?+
CAT® stands for Carbonic Acid Therapy and refers to the controlled application of CO₂ in a dry treatment sleeve.
    How many sessions are recommended?+
A single session is a good way to get to know the treatment or as a targeted regeneration impulse. For further-reaching goals, an individually tailored series can be beneficial.
What should I wear during the treatment?+
Preparation depends on the chosen treatment protocol. Before the session, we explain the process and provide everything you need for a comfortable treatment.
When is a prior medical check recommended?+
Before your first session, we review your current health situation. In cases of pregnancy, acute conditions, or relevant cardiovascular or respiratory concerns, a medical check is carried out.
